Welcome to Gwenen Apiaries - suppliers of fine Cornish honeys and beeswax products.
We are Rodger and Carol Dewhurst and are based in Portreath, Cornwall, UK.
The honey product range is all made in Cornwall and all the specialist honeys and comb products are as made by the bees with no processing or blending. All honey from the same apiary is kept and batched together and this allows the distinctive flavours of the local area honeys to come through, even apiaries two miles apart produce different flavoured honeys!
A range of candles and beeswax products are also produced and Carol specialises on the crafts side (and keeping the logistics etc organised!). These include a range of pure Cornish beeswax moulded candles different rolled beeswax candles, which prove popular, and different grades of pure beeswax from cosmetic grade to polish grade.
Gwenen Apairies is a member of the Made In Cornwall Scheme as run by the County Council. Rodger & Carol are keen to assist other beekeepers and utilises their capacity for bulk purchasing to assist other local beekeepers obtain supplies at discount prices often sourced from within the county.
We can supply our products to both individuals and retailers - although we are dependent on the bees and the seasons - so stocks will vary. Please get in touch.
